Sitemap Errors – Invalid tag value

    Hello,

    I have created a sitemap via WP-Meta-SEO and uploaded it to Google Search Console. My problem is that I receive Errors

    Errors Invalid tag value
    This XML tag has an invalid value. Please fix it and resubmit.
    Issues Count: 16

    Tag: changefreq
    Line: 31

    I can’t see any errors within the sitemap, however I’m no expert.

    My pages are ranking really low at the moment!

    Hi,

    It just seems that on some elements mentioned, you haven’t set priority or update frequency, that’s all. Just setup those and regenerate the sitemap, then you cen resubmit it to Google, it should be OK.

    I found that I had ticked a few pages and posts twice in the plugin settings – changed that and no errors now!
