    Hi there,
    When I activate the Yoast SEO plugin, I get an error message in a red box on my dashboard that reads:

    “The following file is blocking your XML from working properly:
    /hermes/bosoroweb181/b2117/ipw.ifitship/public_html/blog/sitemap_index.xml” Either delete them (this can be done with the “Fix It” button) or disable YOAST SEO XML sitemaps

    I went into my files and deleted the sitemap_index.xml file from my public_html blog folder, but the message persists.
    Also the “fix it” button wouldn’t do anything.

    And this is what it says under debug info:

    Current option: wpseo

    array(21) {
    [“blocking_files”]=>
    array(1) {
    [0]=>
    string(74) “/hermes/bosoraweb181/b2117/ipw.ifitship/public_html/blog/sitemap_index.xml”
    }
    [“ignore_blog_public_warning”]=>
    bool(false)
    [“ignore_meta_description_warning”]=>
    bool(false)

    [“company_logo”]=>
    string(0) “”
    [“company_name”]=>
    string(0) “”
    [“company_or_person”]=>
    string(6) “person”
    [“disableadvanced_meta”]=>
    bool(false)
    [“onpage_indexability”]=>
    bool(true)
    [“googleverify”]=>

    [“alternate_website_name”]=>
    string(0) “”
    [“yandexverify”]=>

    }

    But i don’t know what to do with that. Is there something else I have to delete or fix?

    I presently do not have the plugin enabled because I believe it has been causing odd problems (like redirecting me to the WordPress install.php) a few hours after activation.

    Please advise,
    laura
