    Hello,
I have just created the sitemap with Yoast SEO and I noticed that includes just 513 blog posts while there are more than 2000 on the blog. It seems that includes just the ones since July last year.
Can you help to sort it out?
    Thank you!
    Best regards

  • Hi,

If you go to SEO-Search Appearance-Content Types and Taxonomies can you confirm all the right content types and taxonomies have been marked as YES? We ask as if they are marked as NO they will not appear on the sitemap.

Can you also provide an example url that you are wanting to be on the sitemap but currently does not show?

    Hello,
Thanks for quick reply. Yes everything is marked as Yes, you can see from the screenshots.

This is an example url that is not on the sitemap https://www.dionidream.com/incenso/

An explanation that I am thinking about is that I have also old sitemaps, so maybe that’s affecting?

Whereas the XML Sitemap should dynamically update after any modification to it, if the site or server is caching the sitemap this can cause it to not update right away. We also have additional information on this at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/sitemap-does-not-update/. If you are not seeing the sitemap as updated, we would recommend checking your caching settings and to ensure that the sitemap is being excluded from the cache.

If you are still experiencing an issue with the sitemap not updating after checking your caching settings, you can also force a cache reset by temporarily disabling the sitemap feature, and then re-enabling. To do so please perform the following steps:

      ?In WordPress go to SEO>General>Features
?For ‘XML Sitemaps’ Toggle the switch to ‘Disabled.’
      ??Click ‘Save Changes.’
?Toggle the switch back to ‘Enabled.’
      ?Click ‘Save Changes.’

?We also have a guide on how to enable/disable XML Sitemaps here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/enable-xml-sitemaps-in-the-wordpress-seo-plugin/

Can you please try the aforementioned suggestions and letting us know whether it resolves your issue and you are able to successfully update the sitemap?

    Hello,
    Thanks for reply.
The sitemap updates correctly because after I publish a new post it appears on the sitemap. The problem is that doesnt go back to include posts published before july 2017. I tried to disable and enable again the sitemap feature but I got the same issue.
    Thanks if you can help.
    Best regards

Upon checking https://www.dionidream.com/post-sitemap1.xml & https://www.dionidream.com/post-sitemap2.xml, it throws a 500 Internal Server Error. The issue might have to do with other settings on your server. Please contact your
web host or server admin for assistance.

I installed another plugin for sitemap and it works fine.
I never found out the problem with Yoast SEO sitemap.
