    2. xml-sitemaps.com :- (There was an error while accessing the URL specified: https://cheatmcq.com/sitemap_index.xml)
    3. google robots.txt analyzer :- (robots.txt fetch failed you have a robots.txt file that we are unable to fetch in such cases we unable to crawl your website….)

i have read many conversations on various forums but they failed to solve my problem.

We visited each sitemap manually located in https://cheatmcq.com/sitemap_index.xml and we see that the correct sitemaps are being generated by the Yoast SEO plugin and everything is loading as expected.

We are not sure why Google is reporting that your sitemap is in HTML format. However, we suspect this could be due to the cache and sitemap URL submitted. Can you please clear your cache from your plugin, theme, server, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare? Once you’ve done that, remove and resubmit the sitemap(https://cheatmcq.com/sitemap_index.xml) in Google. If you are not sure how to clear your server caching, please speak with your host provider. To clear your browser cache, please refer here: How to clear my browser’s cache?

We hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!

As the next step, we tried to validate your sitemap via sitemap validator and do see that it returns following error:

    Incorrect http header content-type: “” (expected: “application/xml”)

However, technically the sitemap is correct. This problem is often caused when the server is caching the sitemaps and serves it as an HTML file instead of the XML content type. If you are not sure how to clear your server caching, please speak with your host provider.

    Hi,

We’re checking your sitemap again (https://cheatmcq.com/sitemap_index.xml) and everything seems to be loading as expected, as well as the code when viewing the page source.

So if you’ve already cleared all of your caches (server, CDN, plugins, etc.), then we’re not sure what else to check. You might want to try removing and resubmitting the sitemap to Google Search Console and then see if it is able to parse the sitemap – https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/#google-remove
