• Anyone run across this or know the fix.

I am running WP 4.1 and Yoast WordPress SEO 1.7.1 and WordPress SEO News 2.2.2. I have Yoast creating my xml sitemap. It does this fine and I get a list of of the various post sitemaps index files. Submit to google and everything is working fine. But google is giving me errors. When I dig into the errors it appears Yoast is adding https ( the extra s) to some ( not all ) of the site index files. Essentially google sees https links and I don’t do https on any level of the site. So when these are indexed the link seems to be untrusted because of the https and my site not using https. Looking for a way to remove https from my Yoast index files.

    Any ideas?

THANKS in advance!!!! for reading this.

  • Same issue, did you ever find a solution to this?

Bump to this. I noticed Yoast is adding https to every single page in my auto-generated sitemap. Sadly its effecting all my google results being mixed and giving visitors a security message when they enter….. .

But in none of the places of my WordPress installation have I added https links, neither do I have a https certificate.

    Starting to get desperate here…
