Sitemap 404 Error

Thanks for the question. We confirmed that the sitemap is showing a 404 at the default URL /sitemap_index.xml, but the sitemap appears when using /?sitemap=1.

This usually means that you have to add rewrite rules to your NGINX config file. We have more details available here: Yoast XML Sitemaps on NGINX servers.

Thanks. We have fixed the issue by patching the NGINX server, it seems that the latest upgrades of Yoast were not compatible with the NGINX version that we were running.
