sitelinks in english instead of french

    Hi,

    I have a multilingual website https://www.diot-credit.com, I use WPML for the translation and “All in one SEO”. I have submitted the sitemap (in French) to the google search console. It has been indexed. I have by default the website in French and my browser is in French by default. I don’t know if it’s a good idea but I have also changed the parameters of geographic targeting to France (while my audience can potentially be global).
    When I type diot credit in my browser (from France and in French), I have the main URL in French but all the sitelinks are in English. Those are the right pages but they appears in the wrong language.

    I don’t know if it is linked, but when I try to use the data highlighter in the google search console, my homepage diot-credit.com appears in English instead of French (while I put the parameters in French).

    It is as if Google persisted in considering only my English version instead of the French one. Can you help me with this? I put a post as well on the google webmaster forum and they indicated that you might be of some help.

    I am sorry but this is not something that we can help with. If you’re submitting the French language content to Google then they should crawl and index that content. Only Google can tell you why they’re only picking up the English content.
