I have a couple of sites where I have tried to connect Google Site Kit to an existing GA4 property. When I am in the Analytics setup section it shows me a drop down list of properties in the selected account, however the GA4 I need is not in that list. I have checked all the permissions and I am logging in with the correct Google account etc.

The GA4 property is working fine and I can connect it with a manual tag insertion in the <head> of the site, I just can’t select it in Site Kit for some reason. The only option is to ‘create a new property’. But when doing this, then disconnecting and reconnecting Site Kit, it can no longer find the new one either.

Our agency has 300+ websites setup in this way and it hasn’t been an issue in others.

@montythebrave I just wanted to follow up with you after discussing further with the team. We have recently changed the way we gather this data so could I please ask you to try this in Site Kit and let me know how you get on? Please do share any feedback and screenshots/recordings if you wish to do so.

A temporary workaround you could also use would be to create a new Google account and share property permissions to that account. You could then set up Site Kit and connect Analytics using that account. This would only be a workaround though and it would be great to first get your feedback on the first point above before exploring this.

Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.
