    Hi,

Thanks for such an awesome plugin, it’s really intuitive and super helpful.

I just have a fairly simple question. I’m using the Sitekit plugin to insert the GA script, and tag manager. It says in my dashboard that Sitekit has been integrated with Complianz, and it’s listed as an enabled plugin. Does this mean that neither GA nor tag manager will be running unless a user gives their consent? Is it as simple as it seems?

    Hi @russclem,

Complianz integrates with Site Kit to handle consent, although it depends on your Complianz configuration itself whether this means that Google Analytics would be blocked prior to consent.

With an URL to your site, I can tell you whether that’s currently the case.

Tag Manager itself is loaded by default, allowing you fire individual tags based on consent by using the Complianz triggers as Firing Triggers (please see: “(Step-by-step) Firing tags based on consent in Tag Manager” in this article)

Or use Consent Mode V2 in the Premium plugin, so that the native Google Tags with built-in support for Consent Mode can be fired by default, and Google will determine which functionalities can load, based on the consent as provided in Complianz (https://complianz.io/consent-mode-for-7-0/).

Hope I didn’t make it more complicated. ??

    Kind regards, Jarno

This is super helpful, thank you. Do you mind if I send you my URL on Slack? I’d rather it not be public.
