    Hiya mndpsingh287!

    Please can you help?

For some reason, when I right-click download a directory within WP File Manager on a Siteground-hosted site, I get an error. This is never the case on an identical website running on Ionos. (Unzipped files download properly BTW, so it is certainly a zip issue)

I contacted Siteground and they say WP File Manager ‘is using the function in a different way and indeed is not able to create one.’

They go on to say: ‘I have checked the logs and there were no errors related to the issue with the ZIP and the plugin and without errors, we are unable to further investigate.’

I’ve tried alternative FTP plugins, but they get the same error.

Is there a solution? Has anyone been able to get WP File Manager’s ‘zip directory & download it’ feature to work? Is it possible to download a directory WITHOUT zipping it, as a way of bypassing this Siteground issue?

    Kind regards,

    J

The best solution wouldbe to use the File Manager in Site Tools.
