• Hi I found a small conflict when SG Optimiser is activated and Lay Loading is on. Initially the navigation dots are spaced down from the bottom of the displayed posts. Once you scroll a bit the dots pop up to the correct location.

You can see what is happening by scrolling towards the bottom of this page:

Here is a link to SiteGround’s documentation on lazy loading:

    https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/sg-optimizer/image-optimizations/#Lazy_Load_Media

I tried the Exclude CSS Classes from Lazy Load but it did not resolve the issue.

I do note the advisory on that page: Warning! Some sliders may not work well with the lazy load option switched on. If you are using a slider, we recommend that you make sure it is compatible with lazy load before switching it on.

    Any suggestions or fixes appreciated.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay in the reply. Can you please try using the following selector.

    .lwp_carousel_featured_image > img

Let me know if it works for you.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I tried targeting with the selector, and with the leading dot. I even applied just img globally and no joy. In the end I just turned off lazy loading in SG Optimiser. That worked and I don’t see any effect on performance. Looking at WordPress at the moment my feeling is that there is too much messing going on around Lazy Loading and beyond that all the tweaking to get faster sites with caching plugins. If WP and theme/page builders just built sharper coded frameworks I think that would solve a lot of problems.
