Site worked for almost a year, now can't get in

    I have a website using wordpress: whyuseessentialoils.com
    I have my passwords and user names for the site and the cpanel.
    I cannot get into either.
    HELP

  • Did you renew your yearly subscription in your hosting account?

    The first step is getting access to your hosting account. Can you contact your hosting provider?

    Hosting would be go daddy, right? They said I had another month. They close off my access a month early?

    I have no idea. I am not the one who setup the account ??

    I am just asking so that we can begin determining what is going on here.

    If you believe the hosting provider is GoDaddy, I would begin with a phone call to them, and see if they can identify you as the account owner of the website.

    If they can verify successfully, they will be able to help get you logged into the cPanel… and from there, we can begin to check what’s going on with your site login.

    Have you tried asking them?

    I appreciate your help, but I am doing a significant eyeroll with a major groan over here! I thought a month meant a month!!!

    Lol – well, in the online world you can never be too sure ??

    Check it out with them and let us know. If you are “canceled”.. then you should totally be able to renew your account, and re-establish your website.

    I don’t think they would immediately delete your account. You probably have a set amount of time… just in case this exact thing happens.

    Let us know if you are able to get access to your hosting account, and we can continue from there.

    I have confirmed that your website is hosted on chrisfarrellhosting.com . And the domain was bought over from GODADDY.COM, LLC
    However the domain was last updated on 2012-09-29 AND IT EXPIRES ON 2013-09-28 – And I think this is the problem here…

    Thank you so much everyone! It turns out that the Farrell site was doing something “special” to make sure that robots or I don’t know what couldn’t get into the sites (isn’t that what our passwords are for) so they had an additional authentication key to get through. Wow, that was a great 2 hours I could have used elsewhere, can you hear the sarcasm????
