• Hi. When I add Google Tag Manager code into this plugin, my site no longer works. It worked fine (both the same code and the plugin) on my old site but I’ve just rebuilt. Could you please help? My site is https://www.ssbm-online.co.uk. Thanks very much.

To add to this, I have tried deactivating every other plugin.

Hey sorry to hear about your problem.

Let try few things and see if that works.
    1) When you deactivate the plugin does the website start working again?

    2) If deactivating the plugin gets your website back online try and remove the code and see if that fixed the problem? If that fixed the problem it’s possible the code you are putting inside is the problem

    3) If the code is not the problem try and contact your hosting and ask them if you are getting any php errors on your site. If you can get me a php error related to the post and i can try and fix that.

    4) When you are doing everything I said above make sure you don’t have any cache plugin on your site, no cloudflare cache and that your hosting not using cache on your site because if you have cache it’s possible you don’t see the changes for the site even when there are changes.

    Hi.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, deactivating works but as mentioned, this exact code works on my old site (which is still running on https://www.ssbm-online.co.uk/oldsite/) without a problem.

I tried running a cache plugin and it makes no difference.

Hey so we are getting back to point number 3. If you can get me some kind of error i can check that but without it i can’t tell what the problem.

    3) If the code is not the problem try and contact your hosting and ask them if you are getting any php errors on your site. If you can get me a php error related to the post and i can try and fix that.

I completely lost my site using this plugin – it crashed and the wordpress files completely disappeared. Something seriously wrong. Fortunately we’ve reset the site with a backup but I won’t be trying this plugin again till I know it’s safe.

Hey, I am sorry to hear about your bad experience.

Giving the way the plugin work I can see a way that the site stop loading on extreme cases when clashing with other plugins or when you insert wrong code in there but i don’t see a way the plugin will make wordpress file disappeared.

It’s the first time i hear about something like this but to be on the safe side it might be better to try other plugin than this to do the job.
