I wanted to know if WP Security Audit Log plugin also records the activity of site visitors who are neither logged in as backend users or as members of the site, and thus users in that sense.

This is because for the GDPR compliance you need to be able to also produce a record of site activity of the people who visit your site without logging in as users or members should they request it.

Thanks for any answer on that one.

    Hello @gruff578,

    Thank you for your question.

In terms of site visitors (non authenticated website visitors) the plugin only keeps a record of their IP address if they request a non-existing file (404 error) or there is a failed login. Such functionality can be easily disabled (a checkbox setting).

As for the rest it only keeps a log of what logged in users are doing. For more information on GDPR compliance please read Using WP Security Audit Log on GDPR compliant website.

I trust the above is the information you were looking for. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to ask.
