Lately I’ve noticed in the Live Traffic area, my server is visiting itself on several pages in addition to the sitemap.xml

You Can see here via the screenshot:

Initially wordfence had tagged it as malicious, but I noticed it was from the IP of my server so I didn’t flag it. But it seems to happen about every 15min. Is this something from YOAST SEO plugin? I’m also not sure why it lists the browser ID as W3 Total Cache…

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

This is part of the W3 Total Cache plugin’s “Page cache” settings, in the “preload” section — it visits pages on the site (from within the site) to cause them to be cached, so when real visitors see them, they’ll hopefully see a cached copy that loads very quickly.

It’s ok to ignore these, but when you mentioned that they were originally tagged as malicious, can you tell me more about that? Was it the yellow warning color in Wordfence’s Live Traffic?
