• Running WordPress SEO 1.5.4.2

    URL: https://www.johnrothra.com

I tried inputing the entire meta HTML tag (e.g., <meta name="verifier" content="ID#" />) and it defaulted to just the ID from the content. However, when I tried verifying, Google, Bing, and Alexa said they could not verify the site. I checked the source code and the HTML mega tags are not there.

Apparently I verified the site on Pinterest before (don’t remember when, though), and it won’t let me re-verify, though I suspect that it’d be like the other three if I could re-verify (I’ve made a lot of changes to the site, including a brand new database).

It seems that WPSEO isn’t adding the code. How do I fix this?
