Site URL not updated

  • The DB migration replaces everything as expected (e.g. URL for images), except the permalinks for posts.

    The staging website runs on https://staging.com and the production website runs on https://production.com, but the posts continue to point to https://production.com (non-HTTPS URL).

    If I visited the production website’s dashboard, in Settings > Permalink it shows https://production.com.

    My guess is that the site URL is not updated. Since this is a multisite WP installation, I go to the root site, sites, settings, and it shows the correct Site URL after I changed it to https://production.com. Alas, the posts continue to have the wrong https:// URL

    Any ideas?
