site url is added to image which deployment to production

I noticed that the url of images that form the icons in a feature grid have the site name in the url. that means when i develop on mysite.test and deploy the site and database to production on mysite.com then the image urls are still mysite.test/wp-content/… so its breaks.
is there an option not to do this? I don’t see how it is necessary either as ‘/’ will do for images (unless users are hotlinking to somelses pages which is to be avoided).
