    Hello,

When I enabled the Amazon Pay plugin, it threw up a notice saying my site name was over 50 characters long but it would use my site name in the Amazon Pay account settings.

Well I’ve done testing and when I use Amazon Pay in my Checkout the popup will show my Merchant ID in several places (at the top of the popup, in the fine print, etc.) instead of my site name.

So I reduced my site name in WordPress down to 30 characters and that didn’t change anything. I checked the settings in the actual Amazon pay website and cannot find where the “Site Name” setting is.

Can you please tell me how to not have my Merchant ID showing? It’s very unprofessional and looks bad – could also be a security risk too IDK.

Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hey @ddapparel,

    Hope you are doing well!

The “Site Title” (found in Settings > General > Site Title) serves as a key identifier during Amazon Pay transactions, pinpointing the originating store. Navigate to your Amazon Pay Seller Central to view transaction details.

For Site Titles exceeding 50 characters: [Link to Image1 – https://ibb.co/QD8n956]

For Site Titles 50 characters or fewer: [Link to Image2 – https://ibb.co/rtg2kBR]

The merchant ID displayed in the Amazon Pay Pop-up is managed within the Amazon Pay Seller End and is independent of the Amazon Pay WooCommerce plugin. Refer to the Image Link: [https://ibb.co/Sy04P0Q]. Configure this Merchant Title through “Integration Central > Manage Client/Store ID Configurations” by clicking on the ‘Edit’ option.

If the issue persist you may need to contact Amazon Pay Seller account and explain the situation.

Let me know if this helps.

    Best,
    Christian

    Hi @christian1983

Thank you, hope you’re also doing well. I appreciate your quick response back ??

It turns out you were right about the “Integration Central > Manage Client/Store ID Configurations” section on Amazon Pay seller account. It didn’t have to do with the plugin, which I thought it did. But you helped either way – I was not completely aware of how that part worked. But it seems this is what happened and how I fixed it (for anyone else that run into this issue):

    1. Because my site name was too long, when Amazon made a new “Client/Store ID” name it used my merchant ID.
    2. I found this and simply tried to change the ID name to my site name (but under the 50 characters). This didn’t seem to work, my store name stayed (as the merchant ID).
    3. I then decided to just create a new “Client/Store ID” with my correct store name. Then in WooCommerce Amazon Payment settings, I changed the “Store ID” field to the newly created one in Amazon Pay account – that was the only thing I changed (as long as your API keys and all that had already worked).
    4. Success! After the previous steps the popup now shows my store name and I added my store logo which also shows.

So in the end, this was not a problem with the plugin but with my Amazon Pay account. But I still appreciate the pointer to checking that area out – it helped me solve the issue.

    Thanks again!
