• Hello, I would really appreciate help with 2 things.

    1) My site is titled incorrectly in Google. For example when searched it shows as JohnSon when it should be Johnson Inc. I went to Settings – General – Site Title to Change and entered the right info but it has been 24 hours and still no change. Did I do it right and how can I make the change show up in search engine results?

    2) Can someone provide step by step instructions on how to check and add keywords. I am not code-savvy so please do it on a extreme beginner level. All I know is that I’m using a custom theme. Thank you.

  • 1) Google wont always update it that fast, give it more time. As long as your theme isn’t doing something with your site title then you should be fine. Can always check it in your browser what the title currently is.

    2) Download and install WordPress SEO by Yoast. This will help you with everything you need, and more.

Rab, thanks for responding and helping. How much time is enough? One week? Two?

    Hi pepperwa,

Google indexes your webpages at their will. There is no set rule to how quickly your title of your webpage will update. I can tell you you may want to look into using Google Webmaster Tools as it can help you control how often Google crawls your website.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it works out for you!
