Site Title doesn't show up when I hit save and close.

For some reason I cannot get the site title to show up on any of the pages. I am not new to wordpress at all, but every time I go to Dashboard –> customize –> Site Title & Tagline –> I put in the title of my site, it shows up on the page, I click “save:, then “close”, and the title vanishes. I’ve done it multiple times and even tried logging out and logging back in again but it never shows.

If I go back in to customize and click on my site title, delete one letter, the whole title will show up again. Then I click save, then close, and it vanishes.

Would love some help b/c I don’t want to switch themes!
