• I have one more question. When I customize the template, there’s a green band at the top of the page with the menu and the little home icon. Then there’s an orange band with the site title, and under that is the header image. It looks so nice! When I preview a page, the orange band is missing, and the site title covers the header image. Do you know if the orange band will be there when I actually publish the site? I don’t want to change the color of the site title if it’s going to be against an orange background. I was finally able to get a screen shot, but it’s huge, and I can’t figure out how to make it smaller. Thanks so much for your help.

    Hi missyscats, sorry, It’s hard to tell without link to your website.

    The site — the two pages I did — was not published in a place where anyone could see it but me. I closed my Bluehost account because I was having so many problems, and I wonder if this was a Bluehost problem, too. If it’s still not right with my new hosting company, I might ask again. Thanks for your reply.

    You can see what I’m talking about here: https://www.howtolivewithcats.com/new-page.html. The orange bar, which I really like, seems to only appear when the page is compressed — when I’m customizing the theme, for instance. I’ve tried changing the image and resizing the one that’s on the page now. I love this theme, and I really want to use it, but my website needs a title people can see!

    Thank you so much. I appreciate your help.

    You can see the page now, https://howtolivewithcats.org. The orange bar shows up on my phone, but not on my laptop or iPad.

    Hi @missyscats, you can set header background color at ‘Customise > Colors > Main Colors > Header Background’ and ‘Opacity for the Header Background’ set to 1. Or use this css:

    `.image-text-wrap {
    background: orange;
    position: relative;
    width: 100%;
    }’

    Just saw this tonight. It works, but now the orange covers the cats’ ears. I tried to fix it myself, but I don’t know enough about css.

    .image-text-wrap {
    position: relative;
    }

    That fixed it. There’s still some white space between the green and orange boxes. I wish it wasn’t there, but I think it looks okay. Thank you so much for your help.

    I sent you a donation last night (early this morning) but wasn’t able to write a note. I wanted to thank you for providing so many ways to customize this theme without forcing people to upgrade. The theme is beautiful, and I really love it — even with that white space in the header.
