• Hi there,
I was just trying to translate a page on my site https://www.diversitynu.com as I have recently installed WPML. As I was in General Settings trying to input some wording for the German site and saving it, the whole site stopped working. It says:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I am not a programmer and don’t know what to do to be able to access my site again. Could you please help me? Thanks a lot! Jenny

  • Possibly an interruption to your internet – is it working now?

Hi there, no, same thing. Cannot access the WP dashboard nor anything. Bluehost said the following: PHP error on your site due to plugin issue and it is given below. Please remove that plugin and check the website from your end. Please work arround your web developer or application developer and fix those PHP errors.

[17-Feb-2015 11:00:04 UTC] PHP Warning: sprintf(): Too few arguments in /home2/jennyebe/public_html/diversitynu/wp-content/plugins/fusion-core/shortcodes/class-flexslider.php on line 167

But I cannot remove anything if I don’t have access and I don’t have a developer at hand as I built the site myself ??

If you go into your plugins directory and rename the fusion-core folder to something else, this should deactivate the plugin and you should be able to login then

Thank you but how can I get access to the dashboard? I only see the error message, hence cannot access my site. Even the public version of it https://www.diversitynu.com seems to be broken….

You will need FTP access to your site files to change the plugin name (in order to disable it). That is the only way I know of
