Site Stats show WordPress Dashboard as referrer. Why?

    Hi,

    Today, my Site Stats by Jetpack showed “WordPress Dashboard” as referrer of two views to my site. I am wondering is it that it counted my own views or could it be somebody hacked into my account and it is counting those views or is it something else?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there!

    You don’t need to worry about anyone accessing your account. When WordPress Dashboard is the referrer it means that someone is visiting your from an internal part of WordPress, like their Dashboard if you commented on their blog, or the Reader if they’re subscribed to your blog, etc.

    Also, your views are never counted as long as you’re logged into your account:
