• The Jetpack site stats is showing a spinning wheel in stead of the visuals showing the number of visitors in the WP Dashboard.

    In all other sites I maintain I see the graphics, but in this specific case I just see a spinning wheel.

    I tried a lot to solve this, re-install Jetpack, make sure I have the latest version and so on, but nothing helps.

    Hey Marcel,

    This kind of error is typically indicative of a JavaScript problem with a plugin or your theme. I’d like you to rule these things out as a first line of troubleshooting.

    To do so, temporarily disable all plugins but Jetpack, and set your active theme to Twenty Twenty. The Twenty Twenty theme comes preinstalled with your WordPress, and you can find it under Appearance > Themes.

    See if your Jetpack Stats dashboard widget loads as you’d expect it to. If it does, try activating your usual theme, to see if the issue returns. If it does, you’ll need to contact your theme’s developer to see if they can help you troubleshoot.

    If changing to a different theme didn’t affect things, try deactivating all of your plugins except for Jetpack. Then, activate your plugins one-by-one and try to reproduce the problem. If the problem comes back when you activate a particular plugin, you’ve found the one causing the problem.

    Just a side-note; before you swap your theme and deactivate your plugins, I recommend you make a full backup of your site.

    Let us know what you find, and if that doesn’t turn anything up, we’ll keep working on it.

    Found it!

    I followed you advice, but didn’t change the theme, as I use it more often and in other cases it gives me no troubles. So I disabled a number of Plugins to see if that would solve my problems and I found one that does: it’s called WP Umbrella.

    So I’ll switch that one off and inform the developers of that Plugin.
