  • I will tell you the honest truth since I am not associated with this plugin.. WP Engine is really not that smart lol.

    Take a look at this.
    https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.thecoffeeconcierge.net/WnjmlqS7

As we can see your website has a lot of JavaScript and CSS files.

I would drop Better WordPress Minify and instead use Auto-Optimize its a much smarter and a more powerful way to optimize your CSS and JS. I would enable the default settings, and check the cache every so often to make sure its stable if its not you will need to disable inline js optimization but for this website you should be fine.

I would also recommend that you setup CloudFlare and enable these settings.

CDN + Full Optimization (you will see this on the setup screen).
    Rocket Loader: Automatic

Now your website will have a CDN, properly compressed CSS and JS, as well as all JS inline or not being deferred.

    Thanks for your help, Destac!

I couldn’t find “Auto-Optimize” so I activated EWWW Image Optimizer instead…maybe it’s the same thing?

I just setup CloudFlare as well. I found the Rocket Loader option but couldn’t find the CDN + Full optimization option.

I also noticed CF had a minify option. Should I activate that, or would that be superfluous with the plugin I’ve already activated?

    Thanks again ??

Site is still being slowed down significantly by this plugin. And this isn’t WP Engine telling me this, it’s P3 Plugin Profile which is saying that the plugin is accounting for 27% of total plugin runtime.

Not sure what to do here as a) I need to have some kind of review plugin and b) I haven’t heard anything from the developers after a month…
