• I did some testing and was able to narrow down my sites speed issue to this plugin. My site speed increased significantly with the release of 4.6.

I had load times around 2-3 seconds, but now my site is up to about 50 seconds when this plugin is active. Not sure what’s going on, but may be worth looking into.

  • I have done the tests using the above server config (which is pretty standard with all packages up to date) and Vanilla WP and GF

    Vanilla WP 4.6
    GF 2.0.9
    No other plugins

    GF is sloooow…

    Downgrade to WP 4.5.2

    GF is fast

WP update! 4.6.1. Anybody knows the changelog?

@fried_eggz I managed to test with Twentysixteen today. Same thing, admin slow with GF enabled. The support guys also mentioned that it might be transients being corrupted somehow. So I tried Transients Manager and deleted expired transients, but that didn’t fix it either. I have another server with the following installed:

    Ubuntu: 16.04.1 LTS
    Nginx: 1.10.0
    PHP Version: 7.0.8
    MySQL Version: 5.7.13
    WordPress Version: 4.6.1
    Gravity Forms Version: 2.0.7

Gravity Forms works fine on this site, so it looks like server config might be the issue.

In last week I also faced the same issue, front end was working fine but backend was taking too much time to load so after doing a lot of tests I figured out that culprit is w3 Cache plugin, the Object caches cause WordPress backend to slow, turning that option off can help you.
Also you can try optimising your database with WP-Optimize, that also helps, here are some more tips https://talktopoint.com/wordpress-backend-slow/ that might help you.

I am also facing this issue. My site speed was 1 sec and now it reaches at 60 s

my wordpress backend become very slow after updating to wordpress 4.7

Try installing Query Monitor. It should help isolate the issue somewhat. It could be a slow database query, or slow HTTP requests.

I totally hate WordPress. I have a complete storefront site hand-built with PHP. It runs 300 times faster than WordPress. The only reason to change to WordPress is that it’s an industry standard. And it’s a stupid standard.

Hello everyone, this solved my problem, i deleted wordpress Antivirus plugin and all is fine. me am running 4.8
