I got this message that my database accumulated a significant number of records, so I went to the Optimization page of WP Statistics and chose to delete records older then 365 days. It took a while, but it seemed to come out of the process well. But now loading the website and loading the statistics really slowed down. Up to a point where I thought the statistics wouldn’t show up at al.

I exported al the tables beforehand, but I’m not sure if I get these huge tables back in place.

    What can I do?

    Kind regards, Joke Portegies

    Hi,

The issue could be slow SQL queries or a backlog in the SQL queue. I’d suggest reaching out to your server support to check these slow queries and queues to pinpoint the issue.

In the meantime, you can try fixing those queries or doing regular maintenance like optimizing tables. Hope this helps!
