Site slow after 2.7.1 upgrade

So, this is not a new question as I have seen many others with the same problem, but I have yet to find a solution. I had not had a problem with WP 2.7 but after upgrading to 2.7.1 my site loads ridiculously slow! The header will load fast but the post and widgets take 25-30 to load on my high speed turbo connection.

Let me tell you more: My site is hosted on dreamhost server, never had a problem, upgraded using auto-upgrade feature on WP. I have already deactivated all plugins, with all deactivated still very slow. I reactivated them 1 by 1 but made no difference from one to the next. I have WP super cache enabled, and upon reading other solutions on this forum. I installed WP Tuner which says everything is fine. I installed disable core update and auto update plugins but they did nothing. I also went back and tried dreamhost 1 click install, and that was also useless. I am about ready to give up. PLEASE HELP
