• So I’ve been rebuilding my site using WordPress for the first time.

I’ve noticed that in Firefox, if I go from the front page to the about page (or the unfinished links page – with last li bullets to be removed), the entire site shifts about 10 pixels from side to side.

This doesn’t happen in Internet Explorer 6 or 7b. This is driving me nuts.

I can’t seem to figure this one out, so any help would be wonderful. This is the first time IE has got something right that Firefox hasn’t.

(I know the transparent border doesn’t work in IE – I haven’t linked my alternate stylesheet yet.)

    Sorted!

Firefox only displays the vertical scroll bar only when needed, in IE it’s always displayed. Hence, when Firefox detects a page that exceeds the vertical screen height, it “turns on” the vertical scrollbar giving the appearance of a page shift.
