The link seems stuck on a global color, even if i try to choose a non global from the colour picker, or reset it, its still highlighted as global. i went through the appearance customizer to make sure i didnt have a setting preventing it from changing and i have nothing set on typography there. screen recording at https://imgur.com/wb3XdeS

Hi,Since you are an Elementor Pro user, you can open a support ticket at my.elementor.com
    ref: https://elementor.com/help/how-to-submit-a-support-ticket/

I’d also suggest you check out Elementor Community Group on Facebook. We have created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge, Global Elementor Community.

www.remarpro.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here.

@thetechxpert I am so frustrated with elementor support , 9/10 times I don’t recieve any help, just some copy paste response that more often than not has absolutely nothing to do with the question I spent so much time to craft to include all the context, code, screenshots, links, etc. They just read the subject line then guess, usually wrong, about what the rest of the issue is. When I bring this to their attention they’ve closed the thread on me. This isn’t just one ot two bad experiences , it’s been several over the past 18 months and I don’t waste my time trying anymore.

I also dont have Facebook which is why I’m here and not wasting time on a ticket.

Elementor cannot provide support through the WordPress support forums for anyone using a pro subscription. This is a policy set by WordPress, not Elementor.

Plugins have been removed from the WordPress directory previously for failing to adhere to these guidelines.

@368durham and when I cancel my pro subscription? What makes you so sure I have an active elementor subscription? This thread has a lot about the concept of support and no suggestions on the actual issue?

I have the same problem, it is caused by the latest plugin update – 3.24.0. For now, the downgrade solves them.

@conower what did you downgrade to where it worked? I haven’t updated , there are always bugs every time it breaks my site so I give a couple weeks after release before updating. I’m still on 3.23

I had to downgrade from 3.24.0 to 3.23.4 and the problem went away. The update broke my website: social icons scattered, popup menu was displayed below the website footer. Another problem – the font color of the link, which was set individually by elementror, ??was overwritten by the global color of the template, then again to the color of elementor – so when the page was loaded, the colors flashed. All these problems occurred with the last update. The site’s performance in PageSpeed ??Insights also saw a dip. I had to downgrade elementor to 3.23.4 for the website to work normally… I have elementor pro

what do you mean by “the global color of the template” ? I was wondering if there was a theme default setting somewhere but I looked through the customizer and my Hello Elementor theme does not use any separate theme styles anywhere I can find.

What theme do you have that is setting global template colors? I would have that kind of breakage every time there was a new update so I disabled auto-update then I give it at least a week before I attempt to update elementor to the new version. It always always breaks my site in some way amd rolling back is such a pain, I once had a rollback break to the point where I had to contact support for help because it was stuck on the rollback version for regular and a newer version for Pro. Glad your site is in better shape now, give them a week before you update again amd always make sure you’re backed up before trying.

anything I have to update manually I do one at a time, check all my site pages in between , them update rhe next one, check etc. If something breaks and I’ve updated everything at once, I don’t know which plugin update broke everything.

Sorry, global theme color…. I’m using Astra pro. However, so far I have found out in my case that it is a Litespeed vs Elementor conflict. If I disable litespeed, everything is OK. I will have to wait for a patch version of elementor. If you’re using litespeed (or any cache plugin), try disabling it and if it’s good, try setting Litespeed to default settings and possibly set it via presets.

@conower good suggestion, will try disabling my LS plugin!!

sigh, disabling litespeed did not work. i also noticed that in my haste to fix this, its not just the link that keeps its global color; its body text too. cannot change it so its gotta be inheriting/assigned somewhere. ive been all over the dashboard; customizer, wordpress settings, in every sub menu of elementor and elementor pro; disabled every plugin except for elementor. ive been manually setting links to inherit and it seems its being set by a kit but idk where to adjust the kit colors, ive only found one mention of the kit and the only option is to remove it.

If I ever can’t agree with someone, I’ll try to create a new page and create it on a clean page. For example, the about page and I will create about2. When it all works, I delete about and rename about2 to about. It’s happened to me several times that when I created a new page, what I wanted worked and the original page was somehow screwed up and it was impossible to negotiate with it. So try to create a completely clean page and apply what you want and you’ll see… otherwise I don’t know… I’ve done it like this a few times already.

@conower it’s not at the page level though, it’s global site settings and I’ve confirmed it’s coming from the kit that seems to have some conflict with elementor global styles. I have disable defaults checked. But there is no way to edit the kit , can only remove ; which I tried on a staging site and it deleted all my top level pages and set it to a default portfolio wireframe kit . Then I was able to overwrite so I either have to manually set every link to inherit (custom css isn’t overriding) or rebuild the whole site on a new kit.
