Site Settings: Site Name & Site Description

Hi,
I have installed wordpress via cpanel softaculous app installer. During installation it asked for Choose protocol, Choose domain, In directory. Then there were Site name & Site Description. What I want to know is the use of site name and site description. Where does site name and site description fits in website. Because I am using yoast seo and there is option for setting home page title and description. Then what is the role of site name and site description which comes during installation. And where does it gets saved in database.?
