• I am searching for a plugin that I can use to secure my entire wordpress site. I would like to be able to manually enter an email/password list.

I would prefer not to use a google plugin.

I took a look at the “All In One” Intranet plugin but that doesn’t provide the functionality I need.

Is there a plugin available for wordpress that does what I’m looking for?

  • Hello. ??

A membership plugin might be a good fit for this. Have you looked at something like Paid Memberships Pro, MemberPress, or WP User Manager?

If this looks like a good fit, there are a number of good membership plugins that could match with your requirements.

    Best wishes!

Hi Cate, thank you for your quick response.

After taking a look at your Plugin suggestions, they seem to be heading in the right direction, but at least with a brief review, not quite yet a bullseye.

I don’t want my users to be able to create accounts, registrations, subscriptions, etc.

I want to create and manage a list of usernames and passwords. If the user is not on that list, they can’t get in. One of the plugins you mentioned did have a way for me to manually add users, but those plugins are fairly expensive for a simple “list reader” and were fairly complex to set up and manage. Also almost all of them having “caching” warnings, that the server may display to a user, the previous users credentials.

I didn’t know if perhaps you might know of a plugin(s) that would fit the needs I mention above. I took at look at all the “membership” plugins and there’s A LOT of them.

    Thank you for your help.

    Chris
