Site running slow

Hi everyone, newbie here I’m afraid. I have a couple of quick questions regarding site speed, if that’s ok (any advice at all would be amazing!):

(1). On my homepage- would a revolution slider with 4 images have a greater impact upon site speed than if there were, say, 2 images?

(2). Would my site be quicker if I deleted the revolution slider and instead just had 1 image there, fixed?

(3). Does the amount of items in my store (using woocommerce) have an effect on overall site speed? (I have lots (i.e. thousands) of products in my store). Right now each page is loaded seperately- I want to use infinite scrolling (but I want to make sure I get the site speed right first!)

(4). Are there any plugins (or similar) that you would recommend?
