Site running as usual, Admin panel SLOW – 30 secs

  • My site is running as usual, no changes made recently, no plugins added but the admin panel is nearly unusable.

    The admin panel began bogging down and taking forever to load a few days ago and remains that way.

    SQL looks fine, servers work great… the admin panel however is fubar even with all plugins turned off.

    I SUSPECT this has something to do with yahoo! hosting though its just a hunch. Yahoo! forces site owners to add “index.php” to their URI’s and doesn’t grant re-write access for starters…

    Is anyone else having slow admin load time problems?

    P.S. I can’t upgrade to version 2.6 until the permalinks problem with Yahoo! hosted wordpress blogs is resolved. (again, yahoo forces owners to add index.php to their uri’s or else permalinks don’t work.)

    Admin panel still almost unuseable – 6 days now. 30 seconds is minimum load time but it often simply times out. Clicking on any link in the admin panel does the same thing… yet the site itself is loading fine.

    This all started the same day 2.6 was released and I CANNOT upgrade because of the Yahoo “index.php” and permalinks issues.
