    Hi,

I have a dutch website that helps people with axienty. On this site I’m selling a e-book. I used site reviews plugin to gather reviews and it’s working great so far!

But in order to use site reviews in dutch language I had to translate a few things using the build in site reviews translator. But now I also have an English version of my e-book I want to sell. But I can’t show the site reviews widget because everything is translated to dutch.

    To summarize:

    • I have two pages with the same information. One in dutch and one in English
    • I translated the site reviews widget to dutch using the build in translator
    • I want to show the same site reviews widget on the English version page but it’s translated to dutch

Is there a way I can exclude the dutch translation from happening on the English page? Or do I need to remove the build in translation and use another way to translate it to dutch on the dutch page?

So basically I want the translation to happen on the dutch page but I don’t want the translation to happen on the English page.

I tried to use some site translator plugin to retranslate it to english but because the text is within the site reviews plugin that does not seem to work. Maybe I’m overthinking this…

Any idea how to do this?

P.s. I also want to translate the already gathered dutch reviews to English if possible.

Yes, if you have a multilingual website then don’t use the Site Reviews strings settings page.

First, delete any custom strings you added in the Site Review Settings, then use either the Loco Translate plugin or your Multilingual plugin to translate the text.

Site Reviews does not support translations of reviews. At some point I will release a translation feature which will allow people to translate reviews on the fly in the same way that Tripadvisor and Google does it.
