• Hi, I’ve so far applied the following solutions for cache to my website, but for some reason the site just remains slow to resolve and then gradually moves faster as it loads.

    1. I configured and activated W3 Total Cache

    2. I use Dreamhost, so I updated from PHP 5.2 to 5.3 Fast CGI

    3. Tried using Cloudflare on Dhost, but as soon as I hit minify CSS, the website’s layout messed up, so I deactivated it, but the issue persists.

    4. I deleted all plugins that were not in use.

As it stands I’m getting a 4 second delay to get the page starting to load. Once it start though, the loading is quite fast, but after 4 seconds waiting it kinda defeats the purpose.

    What could be causing this?

    My site is https://www.bollopreniao.com

Alright, in that case I’ll work on compressing as many images as I can. I tried making a one image sprite combining all of my images (I used https://spriteme.org/), but apparently it’s hard to do this with images that have repeat-x or such.

Also… no idea about that .swf file. I’ll look into it.

Thanks a lot to everyone in this thread for your assistance. ??

Also: @mika, sorry to pry, but for some reason I can’t get into SSH for a different domain I own through Dhost. I made a support request about a day and a half ago, but haven’t heard anything yet and the message I got while trying to SSH is that there’s possible DNS spoofing involved (or the RSA key changed, but I don’t know about that). Is there any chance you could tell me what’s up with that?

Not prying ?? That’s why I’m here! We’re running a bit behind on tickets today (post holiday onslaught?) so I know we’ll get round to that soon as possible.

We did change the keys on a few of our servers back in October. Here is the article on it https://www.dreamhoststatus.com/2012/10/24/proactive-security-maintenance-new-login-keys/

We added in a new panel tab to help you check on this. You can access this by clicking “Users” > “SSH Keys”, or by going here: https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=users.sshkeys
