Site redirecting to install.php

  • Hi,
    I was editing multiple pages on my site and suddenly the pages are redirecting to install.php. I have no clue where to start now. Is my whole website gone?

    Where should start? Are there any troubleshooting guide I can follow?

  • This is the reason, we should have backup before making any changes. It is difficult to tell why it is now redirecting to install page. If you have taken backup, you should restore them.

    The last back up I had was 2weeks ago. :'(
    I lost 2weeks of work. But I making a good progress since I know exactly what I’m doing.

    Your website is unlikely to be gone for good.

    What’s the url?

    Have you tried removing plugins temporarily?

    Any plugins or template code changed on the website lately?

    What else have you tried?

    I have no idea what went wrong. I couldn’t find a conclusive reason. I never touched the source files via ftp or file manager. Whatever happened must be a problem with some plugin.

    I renewed the whole website just to save time.
