Site Redirect to Subdirectory Fix

Hi,

I recently transferred hosting to a new web host. The initial install was a WordPress script straight to the domain. Shortly after, I installed WordPress again into a new subdirectory /wp, a place to mess around and test things. However, the new install somehow created an immediate redirect, so that the domain points to the subdirectory /wp. I deleted the subdirectory, but this did not fix the problem, instead acting as if the website was broken.

Please help me find the problem.
