    Evening Mark,

I’ve started testing out SitePush on a new project that wanted a staging site and have been having some issues. Sometimes when I pull everything from the live site down to the Dev site I then need to update my database – is this normal? Both sites are running the latest wordpress & plugin.

Other times not everything gets pulled or gets pulled incorrectly. I have two menus, and after the pull some of the menu items from the secondary menu end up on the primary menu. Also my events do not get pulled over. One thought may be tied to having a premium theme? Have you ever seen these issues come up? And if so, any suggestions?

    Thank you!

I think I might have answered my own question — perhaps it is an issue with the latest version of wordpress and/or pushing between two sites running different versions of wordpress?

Pushing between sites with different WP versions will normally give the ‘database needs to be updated’ routine when you first log into admin after a push. I’ve never had any problems with this, but ideally you would run the same WP version on all sites.

Not sure about your menu issues – I’ve never encountered that before. I’d need more info to get to the bottom of that.

For events… if the theme/plugin you are using stores events in separate tables then they would only get transferred if you push the whole DB, or define custom tables to push in the SitePush options.
