Site owner and assistant in diff countries

Trying to work with a new client as a virtual assistant – she has free WordFence enabled. Problem is the client is in New Zealand and I’m in the US. Client provided her own login info and I logged in just fine the first time, but then I started to get messages that WordFence had blocked me from the site. Had the owner set up a separate login just for me – blocked again by WordFence. It would NOT let me in over a period of several days. She finally had to disable WordFence completely to enable me to access the site to figure out the problem, but I have to re-enable WordFence to even look at the problem and I’m afraid it will just lock me out again.
Not doing anything skeevy at all, just updating plugins, making menu changes, perfectly normal and legit stuff. The only thing I can think of is that we are in different countries, so it might see the same user logged in from two different locations and freak out. How do I convince WordFence that I’m a perfectly legit user?
Thanks for any insight anyone can provide. Please keep it fairly easy-to-understand as I’m not an advanced WordFence user.
