    Hey guys,

    I have been having this problem for a while now and have no idea how to fix it!

    My site (www.crazylilweddings.com) randomly goes down and then redirects to the WordPress install page (www.crazylilwedding.com/wp-admin.install.php

    I have tried repairing the tables in phpMyAdmin and sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn’t. Other times it just comes back itself after a few hours.

    I can’t pinpoint something causing it. Sometimes it does it when I am logged in and sometimes I’m not using the site.

    I have spoken to the hosting co who say it is on my end. I have tried removing every one of the plugins one at a time to see if it could be one of them, but this hasn’t worked either.

    Any ideas? It’s driving me mad!

    Thanks ??

    The next time it goes down, please make sure that your database connection values in wp-config.php are correct and that your database is online with all of your content still in it.

    Hi James,

    Thanks for your help.

    It is offline just now. Not sure how I check that the database in online with the content still in?

    Thanks ??

    Ok apparently the problem is due to the hosting company and my site exceeding the max queries/ updates per hour and then blocking the site.

    As it is a small site with only a few posts/ plugins so far they think it might be down to a plugin which required an excessive amount of queries per hour.

    This is what they allow:

    MAX_QUERIES_PER_HOUR=30000
    MAX_UPDATES_PER_HOUR=20000
    MAX_CONNECTIONS_PER_HOUR=5000
    MAX_USER_CONNECTIONS=50

    These are the plugins currently installed. Do you know of any that could be causing this:

    Jet Pack
    Back Up WordPress
    Askimet
    SEO Yoast
    WordFence
    Avairy Editor
    Clef
    Contact Form 7
    Fruitful Shortcodes
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Image Inject
    Limit Login Attempts
    Maintenance
    Oik Privacy Policy
    Oik Base
    Shareaholic
    Wp Super Cache

    Thanks ??

    It’s possibly one of the Sitemap plugins.

    Since WordPress SEO by Yoast also has Sitemap functionality, start by getting rid of the Google XML Sitemaps plugin.

    I got rid of the Google XML plugin as you said.

    All was fine, but I just published another post and it caused the problem straight away. (I haven’t posted since deleting the plugin)

    It seems to be posting that is causing it?

    Do you think the max queries/ updates offered by my host are unusually small, maybe changing to a new hosting company?

    Thanks ??

    If you have a popular site, then yes, that may be too many queries per hour, but generally you’d hit that limit with visits, not posting every single time.

    This time, try disabling WordPress SEO, and leaving Google XML Sitemaps enabled instead.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Doesn’t seem to be working. The site is quite new so it’s not that popular (yet haha)

    My host offers:

    MAX_QUERIES_PER_HOUR=30000
    MAX_UPDATES_PER_HOUR=20000
    MAX_CONNECTIONS_PER_HOUR=5000
    MAX_USER_CONNECTIONS=50

    Before it will throw the site off. Does this seem low?

    I’m thinking I might try another host? (It’s just went offline when I tried to preview a post I was working on)

    Thanks again, ??

    Sorry just noticed I sent you the max queries etc already.

    Ah, it’s stressing me out. It seems to be every time I am trying to write a post ??

    No, that does seem low to me at all, and there’s no way you should even come close to that by simply publishing a post.

    Perhaps it is time for a new host.
