My wordpress blog has been running for some years without problems so why instead of seeing my blog page am I seeing this:

    https://img821.imageshack.us/img821/2006/wordpressg.jpg

and why intead of index.php is it being diverted to /wp-admin/install.php

I thought the site had been hacked but now I am not so sure. All the files appear to be present and none appear to have been changed. Any help would be most appreciated.

Sorry, can’t tell which version of WP I am using, but it is reasonably recent.

Seems I cannot show the image. Is the code wrong? What’s a “backtick”

First, check your wp-config.php file and make sure that it’s pointing at the right database with the right table prefix. Then, check the database and make sure that all of the necessary table are there.

If all of that appears to be correct, you may need to repair the database.

Access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), check all of the tables, and choose “Repair tables” from the pull-down menu.

It’s backwards-like comma key typically below the “esc” key and above the “tab” key. I’ve fixed it for you.

WHat version of WP are you using?

It seems that the mysql database has been deleted – not by me – could have been someone hacked into my C-Panel or it was the web Host.

version not known, can’t get there to find it. fairly recent I think

have started again and used import from my mirror site on wordpress.com for the content.
