• I am having a problem with my homepage not loading, but the rest of the menu content appears to load fine. This has happened two days in a row. I’m sure there is something needing in the coding that needs to be fixed, but I don’t have the expertise to do it. Can someone check it out and let me know what they think?

  • Looks like an issue in your index.php template file. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks! I’ve tried those suggestions, but for some reason the homepage still won’t load. The rest of the content is there. I will consider changing to the Twenty Eleven theme for this church website if that’s the only fix.

Then it sounds like the issue in in your theme. You need to switch to Twenty Eleven to confirm this.

Yes, it is a problem with my theme. After doing more research, I found this in the error log on my host site…
“PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home3/stpaulc1/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 2762”

Is this something an amatuer like me can correct? Or, can it be corrected with my current theme?
