Site news plugin with widget

Hi,

I to allow editors to add items to a “news” page and for these items to then display in a sidebar widget, with a link back to the full text of the item.

Searching the various news widgets, most of them seem to be focussed either on importing external news, or don’t have the page/widget combination I need only supplying one half or the other of the functionality.

Can anyone suggest something likely to fit my needs?
