Thanks for the screenshots @hslakshmi. However, you are using an outdated version of the Yoast SEO plugin. Please update to v20.7 and see if the issue persists. If it does, retake the screenshots and share again.

Do let me know how it goes.

    Hi @maybellyne

I have updated Yoast SEO to the latest Version 20.7 and still facing the same issue.

Thanks for the screenshots; you have the SEO titles set as I expected. However, I don’t see the initial issue you reported when I checked here. You mentioned the title is displaying as Home | XXXYYYZZZ XXXYYYZZZ, but I see <title>Home |TDK InvenSense</title>

Could it be that I am checking the wrong link?

“If you could see in the individual page Yoast SEO Title it is added as “%%title%% %%page%% %%sep%%”, addition to this if I include %%sitename%% then the output will display as Home | XXXYYYZZZ XXXYYYZZZ.

I am either able to achieve below outputs

    1. If “Site Title” is included in each page SEO title of Yoast SEO, it displays as “Home | XXXYYYZZZ XXXYYYZZZ.”
    2. If ” Site Title” is not included on each page SEO title of Yoast SEO, it displays as “Home |TDK InvenSense

But the output required is “Home | TDK InvenSense” that is i need space before and after the pipeline.

For this page, you have <title>Smarter Systems |TDK InvenSense</title>. If you need space before and after the pipeline (separator), have you tried adding it to see the outcome?<title>Smarter Systems |TDK InvenSense</title>

    Hi @maybellyne

I did not try adding it to see the outcome “<title>Smarter Systems |TDK InvenSense</title>”, but when I add SEO Title as

    1. %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% – I get “<title>Smarter Systems |TDK InvenSense</title>” as outcome
    2. %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%% – I get “Home | XXXYYYZZZ XXXYYYZZZ.” as outcome.

But the outcome which I want to see is “Home | TDK InvenSense” where we have space before and after Separator (Pipeline)
As I have shared the screenshots of the Global page-level configuration, each page configuration, can you tell me how I can achieve “Home | TDK InvenSense” outcome.

What could be the “SEO Title” configuration for the Global level page and individual page?

I tested what you described but it’s not possible. You cannot have extra extra spaces before and after the pipeline.

    Hi @maybellyne

I don’t need extra spaces before and after the Separator. I just need single spaces.

Do you have any solution for this please recommend

    Hi @maybellyne

I am following up on this.

I don’t need extra spaces before and after the Separator. I just need single spaces.

If you see the below example there is no single space after the pipeline.

    Example: <title>Smarter Systems |TDK InvenSense</title>.

I see what you mean. There are spaces in between the snippet variables by default, when you want to add additional snippet variable, you can add a space before adding the variable.

    Hi @maybellyne

I am not able to see the default spaces as well after the seperator.

That is the reason I raised this ticket.

By default SEO title should look like “<title>Smarter Systems | TDK InvenSense</title>” – with default spaces before and after separator

But in my website its displaying as “<title>Smarter Systems |TDK InvenSense</title>” – where the default space is present only before separator but not after separator.

    Hi @maybellyne

I had found the solution for this. Thanks for patiently answering my queries.
