Site map is constantly going back to pending, no errors.

Hi

Using Yoast WordPress SEO plugin I’ve a working Sitemap = sitemap_index.xml

However recently in Google Webmasters it’s constantly being listed as “pending” thus the number of indexed posts etc are 0

However in Webmasters clicking on sitemap_index.xml reveals
/category-sitemap.xml
/post-sitemap.xml
/post_tag-sitemap.xml

All of which indicate they’ve been indexed.

Yet back in the main Webmasters dashboard I get sitemap_index.xml pending and nothing indexed.

If I resubmit, it takes a few mins before saying submitted. But still nothing indexed.

No errors are listed.

Weird.

I’m thinking this is a google webmasters issue and am tempted to submit
/category-sitemap.xml
/post-sitemap.xml
/post_tag-sitemap.xml

As separate sitemaps and remove sitemap_index.xml

I have set both WWW and NON WWW domain and my preferred domain is non www
Also I have set my Geo location target aswel
My website is daily updated with more than 40 articles however You cannot find any in search results, Where in other websites in same niche they do same and all of their post show up in search results instantly.

Its been 5 days now daily it says sitemap is processed however still in pending status. My robots.txt file is Perfect my website has no crawl errors still i am sure many people like me are facing the the same problem i hope someone from google team could come forward and help and resolve this issues asap cause this could help many people in coming days..
