Site logo does not redirect to the home page

This goes for any image that is linked such as blog posts. I have checked the code and found the link to be properly formed however it has some sort of conflict with my gallery plugin. If the page is refreshed it works as expected loading the home page.

Disabling the plugin helps but this theme works fine on another site with the same gallery plugin. I suspect the unusual behaviour can be attributed to something else.
