Site lockouts no longer being logged

On updating to version 6.9.0, the plugin stopped logging lockouts. Also, only 404s for my own whitelisted IP address are being logged.
Might this be a folder/file permission issue? Any help with diagnosing and fixing this problem would be much appreciated.
