Site loads extremely slow with “Auto Detect Currency By Country” enabled

    We have been experiencing slow performance on our site for several months now, and today, I decided to try disabling all plugins and enabling them one by one to see which one causes it to slow down.

    It turns out “YayCurrency Pro” is the culprit.

    We only have CAD and USD as options, and have a fixed conversion rate of 1.35 without any automatic rate update.

    After trying to toggle various options, it seems that “Auto Detect Currency By Country” is the option causing the slowdown. With this disabled, pages load in 2-3 seconds. With This enabled, they often take 12+ seconds to load.
